  • Soda Ash

Sodium Hydroxide (Caustic Soda) and Sodium Carbonate (Soda Ash)

Sodium hydroxide, commonly referred to as Caustic Soda, is a highly alkaline substance widely applied across a broad spectrum of industries. It is essential in the production of textiles, paper, soaps, and detergents, making it a strategic import in many countries. This compound is produced through the electrolysis of sodium chloride solution and appears as a solid, white, wax-like material at room temperature without any odor. Its molecular formula is NaOH, consisting of sodium and hydroxide ions, though the commercial form is often found as sodium hydroxide monohydrate (NaOH·H2O).

    Variants of Sodium Carbonate
    • Dense Sodium Carbonate: With a bulk density of around 1000 kg/m³ and particle size of 300–500 microns, this form is mainly used in glass production. The coarse particles reduce dust formation and minimize contamination during handling and transport.
    • Light Sodium Carbonate: Characterized by a bulk density near 500 kg/m³ and finer particle size (~100 microns), it is commonly employed in chemical and detergent manufacturing.

    Available Forms of Caustic Soda

Caustic Soda is produced in different forms—liquid, flakes, granules, cubes, and blocks—each tailored to specific industrial requirements.
    • Liquid Form: Predominantly manufactured in China, liquid sodium hydroxide is extensively used in the pulp and paper sector, wastewater treatment, and the food industry. It is usually supplied in 50% and 73% solutions. Once dissolved, it breaks down into sodium and hydroxide ions, leaving minimal environmental impact while improving energy efficiency and reducing operational costs.
    • Flake Form: Compared to granules or blocks, flakes absorb water more readily, releasing less heat and therefore lowering explosion hazards. Alongside liquid caustic soda, flakes are regarded as a cost-effective choice due to higher production capacity and lower overall costs.

  • Normal Paraffin (NP)

Normal Paraffin with a carbon range of C10 to C13 is extensively used to produce Linear Alkyl Benzene. It also has various industrial applications in producing fatty acids to be used in surfactants and specific solvents required in the paint and resin industries.

    Special Normal Paraffin

Special Normal Paraffin is linear paraffin with a carbon range of C10 to C13 containing aromatics lower than 0.15 by weight percent.

  • Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB)

    Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB)

Linear Alkyl Benzene is a key raw material in the detergent industry, valued for its good biodegradability. Through sulfonation in downstream processing, LAB is converted into Linear Alkyl Benzene Sulfonic Acid (LABSA), which serves as the main active cleaning ingredient in household detergents such as powders and liquid cleaners.

  • Heavy Alkylate (HAB)

Heavy Alkylate is obtained as a by-product during the production of Linear Alkyl Benzene (LAB). It mainly consists of diphenyl alkanes and dialkyl benzenes. Thanks to its dielectric strength, low pour point, and excellent oxidation resistance, Heavy Alkylate is utilized across multiple industries. Its applications include the manufacture of transformer oils, diesel fuel additives, industrial lubricants, thermal fluids, and it also finds use in the formulation of industrial-grade detergents.

  • Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) – A Versatile and Durable Thermoplastic

Polyvinyl chloride, commonly known as PVC, is a widely used synthetic thermoplastic made from repeating units of vinyl chloride monomers. Depending on the formulation, PVC can be manufactured in either rigid or flexible forms—with the latter achieved through the use of plasticizers. It is well-known for its strong resistance to chemicals, excellent insulating properties, and affordability.

PVC is extensively used in the construction industry for products like pipes, window frames, fittings, and cladding. Beyond construction, it finds applications in medical devices, automotive parts, electrical cables, and packaging materials. Thanks to its adaptability, durability, and ease of processing, PVC continues to be a preferred material across a wide range of industrial sectors.
